Cabell Huntington Hospital achieved Silver Honors at the West Virginia Hospital Association 2025 Health Care Leadership Summit today. 🎉
St. Mary's Medical Center achieved Gold Honors from the West Virginia Hospital Association today during the 2025 Health Care Leadership Summit. Cabell Huntington Hospital and Rivers Health achieved Silver Honors.
These honors are in recognition of the work Marshall Health Network hospitals do to establish and maintain trust among providers, policymakers and the public through actions, sensitivity, professionalism and community-minded commitment to service as members of the West Virginia Hospital Association.
Gold Honors signify St. Mary's has successfully implemented the nine WVHA Commitment to Excellence Honors Program topic areas, which include Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM), antibiotic stewardship, care transitions, cybersecurity, hospital emergency management program, influenza vaccination, opioid response initiative, workplace violence, and WVHA discharge data program. Silver Honors signify Cabell Huntington and Rivers Health are successfully engaged in planning activities and actively working towards implementation in all areas while achieving successful implementation of at least five topic areas.
St. Mary's, along with Cabell Huntington Hospital, also received the 2025 West Virginia's Governor's Award for Life in support of organ donation.
St. Mary's President Angie Swearingen was in attendance to accept today's awards.
