Henson & Kitchen Mortuary & Cremation Services

Henson & Kitchen Mortuary & Cremation Services Highest quality service from our caring and experienced team. Thats Our commitment To You.

Our goal is to provide families in all of Cabell County, West Virginia and the surrounding areas with the best service possible during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Our goal is to do so at a much more reasonable price while exhibiting higher levels of excellence than other funeral homes in our area. We know that planning a loved ones funeral is difficult enough as it is, and we hope to provide the same compassionate care and service that we would expect for one of our loved ones. We have seen first hand the financial burden put on families by being ill prepared as well as dealing with rising funeral, cremation and burial costs and we wish to offer an alternative to the families of Huntington, Barboursville, Milton, West Virginia and surrounding areas.

By no means is this a political post.

We are about honoring life without regard to color, creed, political belief, religion, or financial status. That is what we are humbled and honored to do, day in and day out, as funeral directors and funeral professionals.

What the Kirk family is going through is inconceivable, and our hearts ache deeply for them just as we ache with so many of you when you experience loss.

When this photo was shared, we couldn’t help but feel pride in our profession and in the men and women who dedicate themselves to caring for the deceased and their families with dignity and compassion. Ours is one of the most honorable professions, and we are grateful to be called to it.

Healing begins when families are given the sacred opportunity to say goodbye. That moment matters more than words can ever explain.

From time to time, we hear people say that funerals or viewings are a “waste of time and money.” Yet, many who speak that way have not walked through a recent loss to fully understand. The ability to see your loved one, to spend those final moments, to say goodbye, is vital to the healing process.

Most of you reading this know what happened to Charlie. As funeral professionals, we feel deep pride and humility knowing that, through our skill and calling, his wife had the chance to see him, talk with him, and say goodbye properly. That gift of time and presence is why what we do matters. --Fred and Amber Kitchen and staff
