Important Update for this weekend's 2026 KCHA Run for the Paws 5K!

Start Time Update – Run for the Paws 5K 🐾

Please note that the race start time has been moved to 9:00 AM.

Due to a Celebration of Life taking place later that afternoon, we have adjusted the schedule to allow members of our team to be present.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone at the starting line at 9:00 AM.

We are excited to be part of the new West Virginia Cryptid Race Series and to help direct the 2026 Elk River Trail Races featuring Bigfoot in Clay and the Braxton County Monster in Gassaway.

These events highlight not only the legends of West Virginia but also the incredible trail systems and small town communities that make racing here special.

We look forward to showcasing the beauty of the Elk River Trail and bringing runners an unforgettable experience.

Last night we celebrated our end of year party at Billy Bob’s Wonderland. While a few of our team members couldn’t be with us due to the holiday schedule, it was still a great reminder of how special this group is.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make 2025 such a big year. From local races to events across multiple states, none of it happens without the people behind the scenes and the race directors who trust us to deliver.

As we head toward 2026, we’re excited for what’s ahead and thankful for all the support along the way ❤️.

We are honored to present the proceeds from our 2025 race to the Elk River Trail Foundation! We had 295 registered from 20 different states!

As we look ahead to 2026, we hope to share dates soon. We are currently in the planning process and are hopeful to host two races along the trail next year pending final approval (one in Clay and one in Gassaway). Stay tuned!

Thank you to everyone that participated in our two races in 2025! With the proceeds we were able to purchase two STIHL BR 800 C Backpack Blowers - which goes directly to Kanawha State Forest trail maintenance!

A huge thank you to every amazing runner who brought a donation to our Hot Diggity Dog 5K this past weekend! Today we had the pleasure of taking all your generous donations to the Putnam Animal Shelter ❤️.

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for The James Campbell Memorial 5K. It was a meaningful morning surrounded by family, friends, and a community that continues to show incredible support.

We’re proud to share that about $1,500 was raised for the scholarship, bringing the two-year total to $4,500. The scholarship will open this spring for any WV high school senior pursuing a science degree.

In addition, we would like to extend a huge thank you to the City of Dunbar, West Virginia and the Dunbar Police Department for keeping the course safe and helping the event run smoothly.

Whether you ran, walked, or came out to cheer, we’re grateful you were there.

Join us on Saturday, November 22 in The City of Dunbar, West Virginia for the 2nd Annual James Campbell Memorial 5K!

James was a dedicated volunteer and photographer who captured so many finish line moments at more than 100 community races. His love for the sport and the people in it continues to inspire us.

This is a FREE event and we will be collecting donations for the James Campbell Memorial Scholarship Fund to support local students in his memory.

This year’s awards are again stuffed animals (squirrels), a fun nod to his favorite outdoor animal.

We hope you will join us to run, walk, or cheer as we celebrate James and the impact he made on our running community.

We are honored to be the official timers of the Marshall University Marathon 💚.

This year we partnered with Advanced Sports Timing from Cleveland, Ohio, to deliver a top-quality timing experience. The course featured eight physical timing points, providing thirteen timing reads for marathoners including Start, Finish, Announcer (check out that video board), and five on-course checkpoints.

In total, we recorded more than 23,000 timing reads across 1,900 finishers, while providing live tracking through RTRT to enhance the runner and spectator experience (over 17,000 notifications were sent out).

It was an incredible setup and deployment and we are incredibly thankful to all our timers on the team who made it possible 🤓.
