AADC/ADC Supervision & Training Cohort Overview

This AADC/ADC Cohort is a structured 12-week program designed to support individuals working toward ADC or AADC certification through a comprehensive blend of supervision, training, and individualized guidance.

The cohort provides a total of 50 hours of supervision, including 40 hours of structured training covering the four WVCBAPP domains, along with individual supervision and support focused on professional development and certification readiness.

Program Components Include:

12-week cohort experience

50 total supervision hours

Explicit integration of the 12 Core Functions of Addiction Counseling

Group supervision with case discussion and applied learning

Individual one-on-one guidance related to:

Certification application requirements

Documentation review

Ethical and professional expectations

Preparation for submission to WVCBAPP

Supportive, professional learning environment focused on skill development, confidence, and competency

This cohort is ideal for those working in substance use treatment who are seeking structured supervision, high-quality training, and hands-on support throughout the certification process.

📣 Now Accepting Applications – ADC/AADC Supervision Cohort

PsychShift,LLC is now accepting applications for a supervision cohort designed to fulfill the supervision requirements for the WVCBAPP ADC/AADC credential.

📘 Before applying, all interested individuals are strongly encouraged to review the Certification Applications & Manuals to ensure eligibility:

👥 Who Should Apply:
This cohort is open to currently licensed professionals and individuals working as counselors or case managers serving clients with substance use disorders.

Those working in a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) role should speak with their employer before applying, as addiction counseling domains fall outside the standard PRSS scope of practice. PRSS participants may be eligible only if their role is adjusted during supervision to include the four addiction counseling domains required by WVCBAPP/IC&RC.

🗓 Cohort Schedule:
• Runs Feb 8, 2026-May, 24, 2026
• Meets weekly on Sundays, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

✅ All applicants will receive a no-cost pre-screening interview to ensure appropriateness for the supervision process.
