While at one time, todays surgical procedures would have only been done under General Anesthesia, advancement in medicine has allowed us to do these procedures using Local Anesthesia combined with a mild sedative.
*
The benefits of going this route are plentiful for both the patient and the Doctor. We will be exploring and explaining more about that with our followers coming up soon😉
*
Keep in mind that not all surgical procedures can or will be done using local anesthesia even if the procedure/s would allow for it and the patient requests it. Doctor is who ultimately has the final decision for using local anesthesia vs general anesthesia.
