MUSOP APhA is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Marshall Swag Bag Raffle for Camp Kno Koma! 💚

Camp Kno Koma is a summer camp for children ages 7-15 with diabetes, allowing them to have both a fun and safe experience away from home! At the camp healthcare professionals provide guidance and help kids gain skills in managing diabetes. Kno Koma also gives campers a chance to meet others facing similar battles, creating bonds that last a lifetime. 🏕️

MUSOP APhA-ASP is proud to announce we are back on main campus for the 2nd annual Women’s Health Fair! We will be offering counseling on contraceptives; administering HPV, flu, and COVID vaccines; providing information on where and how to find Women’s Health providers in the area; among many more activities. And of course, we will have swag bags for all who come by and check out the fair! Our friends from Marshall Health and Kroger Health will also be present to assist with vaccines and any questions attendees might have. Please come out and join us in keeping the “Herd” healthy!

Yesterday was a beautiful day for the 7th annual MUSOP APhA-ASP Dominate Diabetes 5k! Operation Diabetes Chair, Bri Kilgalin did an amazing job planning and coordinating the race. Alumni, faculty, staff, and current members: help us raise some dough for our chapter!! Without proceeds from fundraisers we lose the ability to send our talented student pharmacists to regional and national meetings. Additionally, we become limited in the community events that we can sponsor and host. Please consider buying some delicious doughnuts and coffee to help us enrich the opportunities for our future pharmacists and help support the health of our community. Last night, many of our APhA-ASP chapter members were involved in MUSOP’s 2nd annual family night. It was so much fun teaching all of our little future pharmacists about the profession! If you have any pictures- feel free to drop them in the comments! We would love to see them.🙂

MUSOP APhA-ASP traveled to St. Joseph Grade School yesterday to teach the students about Medication Safety as well as the daily responsibilities of a pharmacist. Students compounded suspensions, learned how to take blood pressures in addition to how to listen for lung and heart sounds, and participated in a med safety activity! We had so much fun, and would love to come back. Thank you, St. Joe!!
