We're proud to share that our Woodlands Chapter of Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association raised over $600 to help provide Marshall University students in need with a Thanksgiving meal. Woodlands Director of Marketing Larry Crum presented the check to Marcie Simms, Vice President of Student Affairs. We’re grateful to our residents for their generosity and for supporting our community in such meaningful ways.

Today, we proudly celebrated Veterans Day with a special ceremony presented by the Buford Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The event included a moving presentation of colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, and patriotic songs honoring each branch of our nation’s military.

It was a beautiful tribute to the men and women of our Woodlands community who have served our country with courage and honor. ❤️💙

What an incredible weekend! Woodlands was proud to support Marshall University during 2025!

Our residents and staff had an opportunity to participate in the Homecoming Parade, Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association Tailgate and attend the game alongside this year's Grand Marshal Jim Thornton, the voice of Wheel of Fortune!

As we continue celebrating 2025, we’re proud to highlight Woodlands’ special connection with Marshall University Athletics!

Throughout the year, we love welcoming coaches, staff, and student-athletes to our campus for activities, lectures, and a little friendly competition like our popular bingo games! This month, we hosted the women’s basketball, track & field, softball, and swim & dive teams, and earlier this year welcomed new head football coach Tony Gibson. We’ve also cheered on the Herd at campus events, games, and even a fashion show at Glenn's Sporting Goods Inc!

It’s always a great day to be part of the Herd Family at Woodlands!

We were honored to host Jim Thornton, the Grand Marshal of Marshall University Homecoming 2025 - and the legendary voice of Wheel of Fortune!

A proud Huntington native and frequent visitor of Woodlands, Jim joined staff from the Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association to host a fun-filled trivia party for our residents this afternoon.

Thank you, Jim and the MU Alumni team, for bringing your Herd spirit (and plenty of laughs) to our community - it was a wheel-y good time!
