Soon, we will tell you the complete story of Ovie P. Otter, his brother, and sister, who, at less than three months old, were separated from their home, their parents, and each other when floodwaters carried them many miles downstream.
While Ovie landed on the shores of Huntington, WV, his siblings floated further down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers into the Gulf of Mexico, where they were able to climb aboard a cargo ship bound for Southampton, England.
When their ship arrived at the Port of Southampton two weeks later, they were taken in by two different families. Ovie's brother, Harry, was fostered by Albus Severus Potter and his wife, Adelena Delacour Potter, while, by coincidence, Ovie's sister, Beatrix, was fostered by a family of the same last name, Rupert and Victoria Potter.
So, for the last nine years, the Otter siblings have each had unique and different upbringings - all shaped by the wonderfully unique qualities, talents and ancestry of their foster families.
As you can see from these images, Harry has grown into one of the world's most accomplished wizards, while Beatrix has benefited from the knowledge and experience of a long family lineage of brilliant authors.
More on Ovie's story at a later time...
