The visionary behind Chesapeake Beach Professional Seminars LLC, Sonia Hinds brings passion, leadership, and heart to the world of play therapy. Originally from Panama, Sonia’s journey led her to the U.S., where she earned nursing degrees from Wagner College and Howard University.

🇺🇸 A former Officer in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and U.S. Public Health Service, Sonia discovered her calling in mental health while working at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, DC. Her dedication to children and families through play therapy has made a lasting impact—earning her the 2019 Outstanding Service Award from the Association for Play Therapy Maryland/DC.
