One year of growth, strength, and smiles 💙

From last year to this year, it’s been amazing to watch our Inclusive Movement participants build confidence, friendships, and skills alongside our trainers.

A big THANK YOU to our clients from the D158 LIGHT Program for being part of this journey. We loved exercising, dancing, and playing basketball with you every Wednesday this past year—we’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished! We can’t wait to see you again soon!

✨✨✨ Team Member Spotlight ✨✨✨

Meet Matt, one of our incredible Fitness Specialists! Matt works with clients through personal training, Inclusive Movement, and leads our Rock Steady Boxing classes—bringing energy, encouragement, and expertise to every session.

What Matt enjoys most about his job is helping people reach their goals and being a positive influence on their health and wellness journey. His passion for supporting others shines through in everything he does.

When it comes to food, Matt’s favorite is prime rib from any North Woods supper club—a classic choice! He also enjoys listening to grunge and indie rock.

One of Matt’s favorite travel experiences was visiting Alicante, Spain, where he got to enjoy beautiful scenery. Outside of work, Matt loves spending time outdoors. Whether he’s camping, fishing, kayaking, or running, he’s always finding ways to stay active and enjoy nature.

💪 Recovery Wednesday with Trainer Anthony 💪

Active recovery in Anthony's routine looks like putting worked joints and muscle groups through a modest range of motion while focusing on breathwork and restoring elasticity in the joints and tendons. It’s intentional movement that supports healing without adding extra strain.

His go-to recovery workout is yoga combined with deep stretching and calisthenics. This approach creates the perfect balance of flexibility, light resistance, and core stability, all while prioritizing range of motion and joint recovery.

If you only have 10–15 minutes, Anthony says foam rolling is a simple and effective option. It’s great for deep tissue realignment, helping target sore areas so you can feel more mobile, refreshed, and ready for your next workout.

Anthony believes one of the biggest misconceptions about rest days is that they’re a waste of time or that you’ll lose muscle. In reality, proper recovery is essential for growth, improved performance, and even better sleep. Let go of the self-doubt — rest days are part of the process.

Remember: You don’t get stronger just from training — you get stronger from recovering right.
