Bring on the competition!
Nico was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago in Hyde Park with her younger brother. She enjoyed playing wheelchair basketball and “Beep” baseball with the Chicago Park District and was briefly employed by a facility that specialized in working with disabled individuals. Growing up, she lived in multiple cities in Illinois including Springfield, Jacksonville, and Champaign. While living there she was even married for a short time. She began experiencing some health issues and her parents wanted her to move to a place that was closer to them and Deer Path of Huntley seemed like the perfect place to call home. She has happily lived in our community for 10 years, which makes her the perfect candidate to show the new residents the ropes or to just provide a big hug whenever needed. Being a very funny and extremely competitive person, Nico loves a variety of activities. Especially those that bring out her natural competitive side, like Wii Bowling and Jumbo Uno. She tends to be a bit sneaky and loves to win at whatever cost! Other fun facts about her are she loves apples, pears, and bananas, but doesn’t care for chocolate at all. So, if anyone is up for the challenge, you’re welcome to join in a round of Wii Bowling or Jumbo Uno with her and may the best person win!

We got creative today for National Crayon Day. Crayon shavings, wax paper, and mini irons is all it took to make our own suncatchers.
