I am experiencing a mixture of sadness and excitement when I announce the closure of Huntley Physical Therapy Inc and the transition of our services exclusively to our legacy site at Crystal Lake Physical Therapy Inc. Even though we won't be present in the Huntley community any longer, we are committed to providing you and your family with the same excellent service, quality care and superior results that you have come to expect!

Why did you decide to be a physical therapist?

🙂"When I was in college, I hurt my back and was in the hospital for 3 days. The surgeon wanted to do surgery, but I asked if there was an alternative. The surgeon said I could try Physical Therapy, but it probably wouldn’t work. I did the Physical Therapy and a therapist got me up and walking around again without surgery and after that I switched my major from nursing to Physical Therapy."

What do those fancy initials behind your name (CSCS) mean?

🙂"Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. It means that I I am specialized in creating both Rehab and strength training programs for athletes and weekend warriors as well."

What do you enjoy as a hobby when you aren't in the clinic?

🙂"I enjoy working out, playing tennis, and hanging out with my kids. I am up for anything usually and like to try new experiences."

And finally...tell us an interesting fact about yourself!

🙂"I was a firefighter in the Navy for 4 years."

In response to the recent concerns surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to provide a platform for our patients to remain connected and motivated to continue with their physical therapy treatment in a safe and comfortable environment. Since the CDC has made recent recommendations to promote social distancing, Huntley Physical Therapy will now be offering a Telemedicine option for their patients, as appropriate. We will be utilizing a HIPPA compliant Telemedicine platform. Using this user friendly application that can be accessed on either your phone or on your computer, you will be able to remotely connect with your physical therapist and participate in a session from home using video/audio technology. Your therapist can provide you with the appropriate exercise recommendations and guidance as well as provide you with digital handouts and exercise videos to enable you to continue making progress towards your rehab goals.
