Dr. Marcelo uses a variety of therapeutic techniques with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy and psycho-education. He takes a team approach with his clients and strongly believes in the value of the therapeutic relationship and empowering clients to make decisions in the treatment process. As opposed to some approaches of therapy which may take several years, Dr. Marcelo believes in the efficacy of a briefer counseling model. For over 25 years, Dr. Marcelo has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of challenges including: Addictions, ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Career Indecision, Depression, Disabilities, Divorce, Grief, Infidelity, Learning Difficulties, OCD, Parenting, Stress, and Substance Abuse. On a personal note, Dr. Marcelo is the father of three children. His interests include working out, out-door activities, gardening, German shepherds, and vintage American cars.
