We are excited to welcome Samantha Encarnacion to our OT team in Huntsville and Madison! Here is a little about Sam:
Samantha Encarnacion, known as “Ms. Sam,” is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatric OT. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Fitness and Human Performance, with a minor in Psychology, from Southeastern Louisiana University. She later received her Master of Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans. Sam is dual licensed in Louisiana and Alabama.
Sam has over 13 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. Her background includes babysitting and nannying, lifeguarding, teaching swim lessons, and practicing as an Occupational Therapist in both clinical and school-based environments.
She has experience supporting individuals with a wide range of diagnoses, including autism, ADHD, AuDHD, Down syndrome, developmental delay, and cerebral palsy. She also has previous experience working with adults with orthopedic impairments and chronic pain.
Sam believes every child deserves engaging, individualized therapy that meets them where they are and builds on their unique strengths. She embraces a child-led approach to foster growth in independence, fine motor development, attention, sensory integration, and emotional regulation.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband, her family, and her dog, Apollo. She is excited to be back in Alabama as a part of the Kaleidoscope team and looks forward to helping children grow to their full potential!
