Last week was busy at the Downtown Rescue Mission! A big thank you to the Alabama A&M University women’s basketball team for braving the heat to help with projects around campus.

We also welcomed a group from Mount Zion Baptist Church to see firsthand the impact of their generous support.

You get to see everything from the medical services to the dormitories to the thousand plus meals a day. That's on top of the food bags going to people who aren't quite in a bad enough situation that they need to stay here, but they still need help."

While renovations are underway in our men's emergency services wing, we're ensuring our male guests stay safe, dry and cool in our gymnasium. We're working hard to complete this phase as quickly as possible so guests can return to an improved, more comfortable space.
