The Downtown Rescue Mission, an Alabama non-profit, is a place of refuge offering programs, hot meals and warm beds for homeless and hurting men, women and children in our community. We are a Christ-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to bringing the hope of the Gospel to the hurting, hungry, and homeless in our community. For more than four decades, the Lord has used our programs and services to rescue and transform lives for His glory.

It’s a hands-on way to help sort and prepare items that will go directly to the women and children staying at the Downtown Rescue Mission. We were honored to share our story at the Alabama Chambers Night of Champions Dinner. Alabama is home to some of the strongest Chambers of Commerce in the country. They bring businesses together to connect, learn, and grow while strengthening the workforce and our communities.

We’re especially grateful to have received a generous donation from the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama. This donation will support essential programs and services that protect and serve the most vulnerable children, women, and men in our community.

• Spaghetti noodles & sauce
• Canned corn & green beans
• Bottled water (especially for the hotter months)

This past Saturday at Kroger on Highway 72, our community showed up in such an incredible way. So many shoppers took the time to purchase items and drop them in the box, helping us collect essential donations for the women and children staying at the Downtown Rescue Mission.

Because of your generosity, moms and their children will receive everyday items that bring comfort, support, and care as they work to rebuild their lives. It was so special to see people go out of their way to give back.
