✨Never Met a Mic I Ain’t Like 🎤

The truth is, I’ve always loved the spotlight and educating people

The other truth is I was raised to believe that was not okay

My reality now is showing myself that I can do what makes me happy and serves my people

Being myself didn’t happen overnight, and finding the right platforms and mics didn’t either

It took persistence and mistakes and a lot of courage

But damn is it better on this side!

This year I’m living some of my wildest dreams and little Sha’Rose is so proud

Now my work continues so that elder Sha’Rose can look back and be just as proud

Self love looks a lot of ways and things mine currently

Shenanigans with the Squad

This was a rough night solo parenting and being emotionally constipated and the squad showed up

They surprised me with dinner, drinks, and karaoke for a late birthday celebration…what more could a girl want!

Moments and support like this is what helps me keep going and allows my body to rest

Never met a challenge I couldn’t overcome

Putting myself out there in a field that’s highly subjective and often cruel has been the best thing I’ve ever done

I’ve faced critiques of who I thought I was and unpacked ideals others had placed on me

I’ve gotten to wear some of the most beautiful garments and meet truly talented people

Idk where this journey will take me and I’m enjoying myself while I’m here
