We welcomed Dr. Jacob Britt to North Alabama Urology this September. Dr. Britt completed his urology residency at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in June 2024. Dr. Britt has availability for new patients in both our Huntsville and Madison locations.

Another medical milestone for Huntsville Hospital! 🙌⚕️

Urologist Dr. Joseph A. Pettus just performed the region's first High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) procedure at our Governors Medical Tower. HIFU uses targeted ultrasound energy to destroy cancerous prostate tissue while leaving healthy tissue unharmed, with limited side effects. No incision is required, and patients go home the same day.

We're proud to be the first hospital in North Alabama offering this innovative treatment for patients with prostate cancer that has not spread beyond the walls of the prostate. 💚

CCMA will deliver nursing care to patients under direction and supervision of an Urologist and Clinical Nurse Manager. This position will travel between our Huntsville and Madison locations. Employee will perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties, including but not limited to rooming patients, vital signs, set up procedures and assist physician with procedures, collecting lab specimens, stock and cleaning of patient rooms and cleaning of equipment/medical instruments. Responsible for verification that all services and procedures are properly recorded on the patient charge ticket and encounter form in the EMR system. Employee will perform all tasks that are assigned to the nurse in the EMR system such as returning patient phone calls, authorizations for prescriptions and coordination of care with other medical professionals. The position will require a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification and will work in a nurse team environment.
