Hello Amp Up NAL. I hope this post finds you healthy and doing well. Just wanted to check in with everyone. I encourage you to check in even if it’s with one of the colored hearts. If you feel like it, Share a funny, crazy or sweet story if you want.

Our April meeting is up in the air based on the CDC guidelines and our government issued guidelines. We will wait and see.

A huge Thank you to Dr. Shannon Mathis from UAH Kinesiology Dept. She presented a great overview of some exercises to keep our core, legs, and overall posture in working shape.
We are so excited- our group is growing. We welcomed new friends from Decatur and Florence area this week.

Limbs for Life is a non-profit service that provides prosthetic care to people that can not afford a prosthesis. They partner with clinics across the nation. It’s one of the charity options you can choose. You still use your same amazon account just go to smile.amazon.com and select the charity, then continue shopping as you normally would. At the end of the year they will send you notification of how much was donated on behalf of all your purchases. It’s just a simple and small way to be able to help someone in need.

Hello North Alabama! Welcome to a new support group for Amputees and Care Givers. We are striving to create a community of resources to empower the amputee and their family. We have our regular meetings scheduled every 3rd Tuesday of the even months starting in February. Check back to RSVP for the February meeting. We will post an invite to the event once we confirm the speaker. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions for guest speakers/topic ideas. You can also email us at amp.up.na@gmail.com.
