SafeHug

SafeHug is a Patient Safety Device that comfortably secures a patient in bed. Medical facilities suppose to be safe havens for patients.

I have over 20 years of nursing experience in multiple medical disciplines, including, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mother-Baby, Neuro Progressive Care, Medical Intensive Care, Pain Management, and currently, Long-term care and Rehabilitation. Nursing allows me to facilitate the treatment of various medical conditions while providing care, having compassion for, empathizing with, and focusing on the patient, which is my passion. I am responsible for caring for the patient's physiological needs, as well as their safety and security. Throughout my career, I have seen the adverse effects of falls on patients, from lacerations, fractures, traumatic head injuries, and even death. To decrease the occurrence of falls and fall-related injuries and fatalities, I invented a Patient Safety Device in 2019, which I affectionately call SafeHug. They should receive competent medical treatment and compassionate, loving care in a secure environment. My goal is to provide this type of care for my patients.
