There are so many common questions to be answered about Permanent Makeup. And finding those answers online is as useless as searching for meaning in a Pauly Shore movie.

How much do I charge for a consultation?

In-person consultations are ALWAYS free of charge.

A little know fact about Microblading:

MOST people are not candidates for this service.

The ladies pictured here are a few of the women I’ve had in my chair who were perfect candidates for hairstroke-only Microblading.

I know, I know….EVERYONE wants the fluffy natural-looking hairstrokes. Natural is always the goal. But the truth is, most clients require a combo brow. The perfect marriage of hairstrokes and shading from the tails, ombre’d inwards, blended perfectly.

Reason being, hairstrokes alone can only be done on clients with plenty of hair to blend in with them. There aren’t a ton of women with lots of eyebrow hair out there looking to get permanent makeup. If you have no hair, very little hair, or hair in your “bulbs” (the middle), but none towards the “tails”, I’m so sorry, Boo. You just aren’t going to be able to get a hairstroke-only service. You’re gonna have to get at least a little machine work.

NOW….all that being said….I am a very conservative artist, and I’m also what’s called a “Natural-Enhancement Specialist”. So, I will work with what you’ve got, and provide you the most natural-looking results that fit your face, skin type, and existing brows and bone structure. ✌️🐝💚

‼️LADIES‼️

Your permanent makeup is not completed until you have had your follow up! Your face must be a judgement-free zone UNTIL you have received BOTH sessions.

Reason being, permanent makeup isn’t supposed to be bold. It’s supposed to look natural. Therefore, the color must be built. This applies to permanent brows, lips, and liner.

Also, we have no clue how you’re going to heal. Once we establish that, adjustments can be made.

I am, and always will be, a conservative artist. I will never use tattoo ink on your face. I will never go fully dark and big at your first session. I am looking out for you and your best interest. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. ✌️🐝💚

🐝REALITY CHECK🐝

It’s been about 7 months since I took the plunge and quit my regular job to go full time with Perdita Beauty and Tattoo Lab✌️🐝💚. So I figured it’s time for a real and raw check-in.

The very hard truths about running a service-based business:

💚Not everyone with talent should be a business owner. It’s a whole other set of skills not everyone is capable of. Working for someone else isn’t MY vibe, but it’s ok if it’s yours. No shame in just doing the skill.

💚Being rich one week, and poor the next AINT FOR THE WEAK. Lobster Monday, ramen on Friday. I’m just rolling with it.

💚Ya’ll love all cancelling in the same week and stressing me tf out.

💚I need to have x amount of money saved IN ORDER to not let other people’s flakiness keep me from paying my bills.

💚The best way to avoid taking others’ actions personally is to focus 100% on the clients who treat me with love and respect.

💚I find loyalty in the most random people and places. The people I expected to cheer me on the most are often the ones who are sitting silent, while some people who don’t even know me are shouting my praises from the rooftops.

💚Marketing is a combination of skill, experience, and just plain ole SAUCE. When I say “sauce”, I’m referring to what you might call swag…..flavor….charisma…..vibe. Either you got the SAUCE, or you don’t. And I got the sauce, baby.

💚You can’t out-market a lack of skills. I’ve had to fix an endless amount of VERY expensive brows done by artists who have PRISTINE social media, but just don’t deliver results.

💚Customer service is generally disgraceful in the beauty business these days. I’m doing my part to fix this, AND THEN SOME.

So in conclusion, this has been a wild ride so far. I’ll take the stress any day over working for someone else. Everything is on ME. Every. Single. Day. Luckily, I work best under pressure. 😉✌️🐝💚
