I was reminded this week that postpartum intrusive thoughts are scary, but very common, some articles even citing as much as 70%-100% of new moms experiencing intrusive thoughts during postpartum.

These can be scary but they can’t be controlled. You are not alone and if you need someone to talk to, I am happy to help you during your postpartum season of life!

Distressing intrusive thoughts are common during the perinatal period. Knowing why you have scary new mom thoughts and what to do about them can help.

In other news, Sarah is now welcoming clients at her Houston office, offering flexible in-person and virtual sessions.

Some exciting news to share!

You all loved the A Space Between Counseling Center merch so much that we decided to do another round of orders with all new colors to choose from! The t-shirt this time around will be a comfort colors tee, so it will have more of a boxy/unisex/oversized fit. Sweatshirts are the same as last time (everyone loved these) with a very oversized fit.

Orders will be due February 19th at midnight! These should be ready early-mid March for delivery/pick up.

Sweatshirts: Small- 3XL $40
T-shirt: Small-4XL available $25
Shipping $10

Just a little insight into our new shirt/sweatshirt design. Have you ever had a quote or phrase that just resonated into your core? “Breathe, this is only a chapter not the whole story” is that for me. There have been chapters in my life that have seemed overwhelming, almost difficult to catch my breathe (literally and figuratively). This quote is exactly what Kaitlin and I want to be as therapists…the person that reminds you to breathe, reminding you this is only a chapter. We desire to help you see hope that this is not the whole story of your life!

We are so thankful for the wonderful support through the orders of sweatshirts and shirts so far. We hope this is a beautiful reminder to breathe when life gets hard.

We will close taking orders December 18th. We won’t have extras that can be ordered after so if you don’t want to miss out, the order form is below.

Well…when you post things out into the interweb world…you are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support! So without further ado….🎉🎉🎉….
