We hit the road to Birmingham for the 44th Annual Andrews Injuries in Baseball Course at the American Sports Medicine Institute this weekend ⚾️

This is a yearly stop for our team because we value the way ASMI breaks down complex injuries and brings that next-level insight back to our clinic. We learned a ton, had a great time together, and are already talking through ways to bring that knowledge straight into care for our patients.

Proud of this crew for leaning into education and always striving to do better!

A little Christmas Eve joy from our team Christmas party 🎄

We shared a great meal, took time to say thank you for this team, and played a few games (with Smith somehow walking away with BOTH jackpots… still unclear how that happened).

After 15 years of growing Austin Physical Therapy, nights like this remind us that the culture we’ve built is really about the people around the table. We’re incredibly thankful for this team and the fun they bring into everything we do.

You know what time it is… Christmas Spirit Week is back at Austin Physical Therapy 🎄

If you’ve got an appointment at our Huntsville clinics next week, come dressed for the theme of the day. Red and green, Christmas movie characters, tacky sweaters, and cozy Christmas pajamas to wrap it up.

One of our favorite traditions is officially underway. We can’t wait to see the holiday spirit around the clinic next week.

Our runners were back at it this weekend! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Nik and Ashley took on the Ditto Landing 10K this past Sunday and absolutely crushed it. Nik came in at 1:07:45 and Ashley finished at 56:34 — pretty impressive after a full Thanksgiving week.

We love seeing our team practice what we preach and stay active right alongside our patients. Proud of these two for showing up, pushing hard, and representing Austin PT so well. 💪💪💪

If you know him, you already know he brings so much more than great physical therapy to our team. He keeps our days lighter, our patients laughing, and our whole culture stronger. He shows up with heart every single day, and we are better because he’s part of this family.

Pumpkin D takes the crown! 🎃👏

Cathy’s pumpkin won this year’s Austin PT Pumpkin Carving Contest, and we couldn’t be happier. It was creative, full of personality, and totally gave “Austin PT patient” energy — no wonder everyone loved it.

Thanks to all our patients who voted in clinic and online. You made this so much fun. We’re already counting down to next year’s contest… something tells us it’s only going up from here‼

Our Story

Austin Physical Therapy was established in May of 2010 by Jay Austin, PT. His goal was simple, to bring functional rehabilitation to Huntsville and North Alabama that centered on the patient. After starting and managing a very successful PT practice for local Spine surgeons for 9 yrs, Jay saw the need to offer evidence-based functional rehab to people in all walks of life.

His unconventional ’out of the box’ approach centers on repositioning faulty structural asymmetries, retraining motor patterns, and restoring efficient movement. This uncommon, evidence based approach has helped thousands of chronically pained people rediscover a life that was once an afterthought.
