Lakewood Celebrate Recovery

Lakewood Celebrate Recovery New recovery ministry in Huntsville, helping people find hope and healing for their hurts, habits and hang-ups. Is there something I wish I could live without?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is Celebrate Recovery for me? Celebrate Recovery offers a person the opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives. Ask yourself:

Are there things in my life that I do that hurt others? Is it time to crack my denial and admit I am not in control of my life? Do I have a painful habit or hang-up from which I need to be freed? If you answered “yes” to any of these statements then we urge you to attend a Celebrate Recovery meeting to see if it is for you. Is Celebrate Recovery confidential? Yes, Celebrate Recovery maintains strict confidentiality. This promotes an atmosphere of trust and enables recovery. We have a saying that is repeated in every Large Group meeting : WHO you see here. WHAT you hear here. WHEN you leave here. STAYS HERE. We are diligent about confidentiality and anonymity. The guidelines/rules protect all of us from judgment and being “fixed”. In a “safe place” you can take off your “mask” and be real and honest without fear. You are 100% in control of when and how much you participate. What types of issues are dealt with at Celebrate Recovery? A wide variety of hurts, hang ups and harmful behaviors are represented at Celebrate Recovery. Examples include dependency on alcohol or drugs, po*******hy, low self-esteem, need to control, depression, anger, co-dependency, depression, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, perfectionism, broken relationships, and abuse.

📝 Ready to get real? Tonight is Lesson 10: Spiritual Inventory!

We are diving into Step 4 tonight: "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves."
Let’s be honest—the word "inventory" can sound a little scary. It often means looking at things we’ve tried very hard to ignore. But it’s also where the healing truly begins. We are going to talk about how to start the process of writing it down, getting honest with ourselves, and trusting God with the details.
You don't have to do this alone. We'll walk through it together!

Is "doing it alone" really working? 🤔

Tomorrow night at Celebrate Recovery, we are diving into Lesson 7: SPONSOR.

We often convince ourselves that we can handle our hurts, habits, and hang-ups by ourselves. But the truth is, recovery isn’t meant to be a solo journey. We need someone to be a guide, a sounding board, and a source of encouragement when the road gets steep.

As Ecclesiastes 4:10 reminds us: “If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

Let’s get the conversation started (Drop a comment below! 👇): Without naming names, what is ONE quality you think makes someone a "safe person" or a great encourage? (Examples: Good listener, Keeps secrets, compassionate, honest...)

🗓 THE SCHEDULE: 🍽 5:15 PM: Dinner is served! Come hungry and grab some fellowship. 🎸 6:00 PM: Large Group begins (Worship, Chips, & Lesson 7). ☕️ 7:00 PM: Open Share Groups.

Don't let fear keep you isolated. See you tomorrow night!
