Lakewood Celebrate Recovery

Lakewood Celebrate Recovery New recovery ministry in Huntsville, helping people find hope and healing for their hurts, habits and hang-ups. Is there something I wish I could live without?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is Celebrate Recovery for me? Celebrate Recovery offers a person the opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives. Ask yourself:

Are there things in my life that I do that hurt others? Is it time to crack my denial and admit I am not in control of my life? Do I have a painful habit or hang-up from which I need to be freed? If you answered “yes” to any of these statements then we urge you to attend a Celebrate Recovery meeting to see if it is for you. Is Celebrate Recovery confidential? Yes, Celebrate Recovery maintains strict confidentiality. This promotes an atmosphere of trust and enables recovery. We have a saying that is repeated in every Large Group meeting : WHO you see here. WHAT you hear here. WHEN you leave here. STAYS HERE. We are diligent about confidentiality and anonymity. The guidelines/rules protect all of us from judgment and being “fixed”. In a “safe place” you can take off your “mask” and be real and honest without fear. You are 100% in control of when and how much you participate. What types of issues are dealt with at Celebrate Recovery? A wide variety of hurts, hang ups and harmful behaviors are represented at Celebrate Recovery. Examples include dependency on alcohol or drugs, po*******hy, low self-esteem, need to control, depression, anger, co-dependency, depression, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, perfectionism, broken relationships, and abuse.

Are You Ready to Be Part of the T.E.A.M. That Changes Lives? 🌟

Here at Celebrate Recovery (CR), our ministry thrives because of the dedicated hearts of our leaders and volunteers! Serving isn't just about filling a role; it's about walking alongside others on their journey to healing and wholeness.

Why Serve? The Power of T.E.A.M. Leadership
When you step up to serve, you become a vital part of our leadership T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More). Every letter represents a role that is crucial to the success of our ministry:

Training Coach: Equipping new servants and ensuring excellence in our ministry areas.

Encourager Coach: Mentoring, inspiring, and walking side-by-side with fellow leaders.

Ambassador: Representing CR in the church and community, inviting people to find freedom.

Ministry Leader: Facilitating groups, leading service teams, and guiding others through the Principles.

The rewards are immeasurable. When you give back, you find your own recovery strengthened. You get to witness lives change right before your eyes, reminding you that your story matters, and you gain a deeper connection with a team dedicated to seeing people set free.
"We have found that we can't keep it unless we give it away." - The Celebrate Recovery Principle 8

Let's Hear From You!
If you are currently serving in a CR leadership role, which of these T.E.A.M. roles (Training Coach, Encourager Coach, Ambassador, Ministry Leader) best describes the area you serve in, and what is the most rewarding part of that specific role? Share your experience and inspire someone else to join the team!
If you've been thinking about getting involved, which of the four T.E.A.M. roles speaks most to your heart right now? Let us know in the comments! 👇

🎉 It's Chip Night 🎉
Hey everyone! It's your Celebrate Recovery leader here, and I want to talk about something incredibly important and wonderfully exciting: celebrating the anniversary of your recovery!
Think back to the day you took that courageous step, the day you started down the road to healing and hope. That day is a milestone, a marker of God's grace and your incredible perseverance. Why wouldn't we celebrate that?!
Why Celebrating Matters
Celebrating your recovery anniversary isn't about bragging; it's about gratitude and gospel truth.
It Honors God: Every single day of recovery is a gift from above. Acknowledging your anniversary is a powerful way to thank God for the strength, the healing, and the new life He has provided. It's a testament that He is faithful!
It Inspires Hope: When we share our anniversaries, whether it's 30 days, 1 year, or 10 years, we light a beacon of hope for those who are just starting out. It shows them, "If I can do it, you can too, through Christ!"
It Reinforces Commitment: Taking the time to reflect on how far you've come reminds you of the hard work you've put in and strengthens your resolve to keep walking the path of recovery, one day at a time.
How to Celebrate
Your celebration doesn't have to be a huge party (though it certainly can be!). It can be simple, meaningful, and personal.
Acknowledge It: Mark it on your calendar! Treat it like the holiday it is!
Give Thanks: Write out a prayer of gratitude, or take some time to thank the people in your life who have supported you—your sponsor, your accountability partners, and your CR family!
Pay It Forward: Commit an act of service. Maybe you reach out to someone new in the group, or perhaps you sign up to serve at CR for the night. Helping others is a powerful way to cement your own recovery.
Share Your Story: If you feel led, share a piece of your journey with your small group or even the whole group. Your vulnerability is someone else's breakthrough!
So, when is your recovery anniversary? If it's coming up, how are you planning to celebrate this incredible gift? Share a favorite memory or a plan for celebration in the comments below!
We are so proud of every single one of you, no matter what day you are on. Keep coming back—it works!

The Power of a Changed Life: Celebrate Recovery Testimony Night!
Ever wonder what happens after you find freedom from your hurts, habits, and hang-ups? 🤔
That's where Step 12 of Celebrate Recovery comes in: "Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs."
It's not just about getting clean; it's about living changed and sharing the hope you've found!
This Tuesday night at 6 PM, come and hear that hope in action. We'll be focusing on the incredible importance of giving back, and you'll hear a powerful testimony from someone who has walked this journey and is now experiencing the joy of a life transformed.
What to Expect:
Real Talk: Honest, heartfelt stories of struggle and victory.
Community: A safe, non-judgmental place where you can be yourself.
Hope: Proof that healing is possible, no matter what you're facing.
You don't have to be "fixed" to come! If you're struggling with anything—anxiety, grief, control issues, addiction, or relationship struggles—CR is for you.
Come as you are, find your freedom, and be inspired to carry the message.
Join us Tuesday at 6:00 PM!

Hello, friends! 👋 Next week in Celebrate Recovery, we're diving into Lesson 2: Powerless. This lesson is all about accepting that we're powerless to control our hurts, habits, and hang-ups on our own. It's a humbling but essential step on our journey to recovery.
Our key verse for the week is Matthew 5:3, which says, "Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor." 🤔 What does it mean to be "spiritually poor"? How can we be happy when we feel powerless or "poor" in our struggles?
Join the conversation! Share your thoughts in the comments:
What does this verse mean to you in the context of your recovery?
How have you experienced the freedom that comes from admitting you're powerless?
Let's support one another as we learn to surrender and find our strength in a Higher Power. See you at CR! 🙏❤️
