✨ He is Risen: A New Day in Recovery ✨

Today, we aren’t just celebrating a historical event; we are celebrating the power of the comeback. In Celebrate Recovery, we know what it’s like to feel "buried." We’ve been buried by shame, buried by our past mistakes, and buried by hurts that felt like they had the final word. But today’s theme reminds us that the tomb is empty—and because He rose, we can rise too.

Why This Matters for Us:
The End of Shame: The same power that rolled away the stone is the power that breaks our chains.
A Living Hope: Recovery isn’t just about "stopping" a behavior; it’s about starting a new life.
No Case is Too Hard: If death couldn't hold Him, your habit, hurt, or hang-up doesn't have to hold you.
"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."
— Matthew 28:6

Happy St. Patrick's Day Forever Family! 🍀

📢 Tonight at CR: Are You Ready?
Recovery isn't just about stopping the old behaviors; it’s about being prepared for the new life God has for us.

Tonight, we are diving into Lesson 14: READY.

In the 12-step process, being "ready" is a pivotal turning point. It’s that moment where we stop trying to fix ourselves and humbly ask God to remove our defects of character. It’s about total surrender and the realization that while we can’t change our past, we can be fully ready for God to change our future.

Whether you are on Step 6 or just starting your journey, this lesson is a vital reminder that transformation begins with a willing heart.

Join us tonight:
🍴 Dinner: 5:15 PM
🙏 Large Group: 6:00 PM

"My Story. Your Story. His Glory." 🕯️

Tonight is Testimony Night at Lakewood CR, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what it truly means to stand up and share.
Sharing a testimony isn't about having it all figured out or being "perfectly" recovered. It’s about being brave enough to look back at the mess and show how far God has brought us. It’s about taking the things we once kept hidden in the dark and bringing them into the light—not just for our own healing, but to give someone else a roadmap out of their own struggle.
When we share, we’re saying: "I was there, too. But there is a way through."
Whether you’re the one holding the mic or the one sitting in the seats listening, your story matters. We’re all in this together, breaking the chains of shame and celebrating every victory over our hurts, habits, and hang-ups.

Come join our family tonight:
🍴 Dinner: 5:15 PM (Come hungry for some good food and fellowship!)
🙌 Large Group: 6:00 PM

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..." — Revelation 12:11
I hope to see you there. You don’t have to walk this road alone.

I was invited to speak at ALRAD on Wednesday about Celebrate Recovery and it's contributions to the recovery community around the world. I am so grateful to live in a state that takes recovery seriously and provides so much support across various resources across the state. There are so many nonprofit organizations out there to help those in need. Recovery does happen and a new life is achievable.

TONIGHT: Principle 13 - Admit (Getting Honest with God and Others)

We all wear masks. We hide our struggles, our fears, and the habits that are weighing us down. We try to convince everyone (sometimes even ourselves) that we have it all together. But true freedom can only begin when we drop the act and get honest.
Join us at Celebrate Recovery tonight as we dive into Principle 13: ADMIT.
We will explore what it means to stop pretending and to step into the life-changing practice of confessing our faults, first to God and then to a trusted person in our lives.
Admitting is not about shame; it’s about breaking the chains of secrecy. It is the crucial first step toward lasting healing and genuine community. It's time to stop trying to heal what we keep hidden.
Whether you've been here for years or this is your first night, there is a seat waiting for you. Come find a safe place where you are fully known and fully loved.

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." (James 5:16, NIV)

"Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord." – Lamentations 3:40
Tonight is Lesson 11: Spiritual Inventory Part 2. We are continuing the work of examining our hearts and our history.
Tonight, we look at the "Damage" and "My Part" columns of our inventory. This is the moment we stop being victims of our past and start becoming agents of our own healing. It’s hard work, but God is faithful to walk us through it.
Join us for worship, the lesson, and open share groups!
