SportsMED is starting a Student Athlete of the Year campaign for the **2025-2026 school year**!

We are looking for student-athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom and in our community.

Over the course of the school year, a panel of judges selects one female and one male athlete of the month. Applicants must be a high school senior and display a history of athletic and academic accomplishments, as well as community/civic involvement.

At the end of the school year, all monthly winners are invited to the Rocket City Awards Night where one female and one male athlete will be selected as Athletes of the Year and will each receive a **$2,500 scholarship.**

🏆 Comeback Stronger: Sloan's Story

After facing not one, but two major knee injuries, Sloan Holladay from Westminster Christian Academy refused to let setbacks define her. With expert care from SportsMED’s Dr. Eric Janssen, she underwent two successful surgeries and is now back to competing—stronger than ever. 💪⚾🏈

This year, she’s hitting the field again in softball and flag football and has her eyes set on playing college softball. We’re proud to be part of her journey!
