Congratulations to our January Scholar Athletes of the Month winners Lillian Meeks and Jonava Smith! 🎉👏

🏅 Lillian Meeks — A 4.55 GPA student-athlete at Whitesburg Christian Academy, Lillian is a Cross Country and Track Team Captain and multi-time Alabama State Champion who holds state records in the 800m, 1600m, and 4x800. She is an All-State athlete, National Honor Society member, National Art Honor Society President, nationally recognized artist, and has completed 120+ hours of community service.

🏅 Jonava Smith — A 3.9 GPA student-athlete at Shelby County High School, Jonava serves as Varsity Football Team Captain and has earned All-County and All-Region honors while excelling academically as an AP and Dual Enrollment student. He is also a Scholar’s Bowl top scorer, National Honor Society and Beta Club member, peer tutor, and active community volunteer.

Two weeks post-op and already moving with confidence 🙌

This video is footage from Dr. Raley at her post-operative appointment following a quad-sparing, robotic-assisted total knee replacement. Even more special — he also performed her other knee replacement back in July, and she’s now well on her way with both!

SportsMED Orthopedic Surgery & Spine Center has been providing North Alabama with orthopedic care for 25 years. Founded 25 years ago as a two-physician practice, it has since grown to become one of the largest, most diverse, and innovative private practices in North Alabama, with four locations in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, and Decatur, Alabama.
