One of the tragic results of addiction is a life filled with guilt and shame. As the men at His Way begin to learn of the love, grace, and mercy of God, they typically ask, “I know God has forgiven me and that others have forgiven me, but how do I forgive myself?”

Many men arrive at His Way straight from incarceration or homelessness with nothing but the clothes on their back. These items can help meet residents most basic needs as they begin their recovery journey.

Join us in welcoming Daniel Wisehart to His Way as grants and development coordinator.

Daniel has a passion for ministering to people struggling with addiction and is thrilled for the opportunity to use the skills that God has given him to support the mission of restoring men to life and life in Christ.

A lifelong writer, grants aren’t the only thing inspiring Daniel to reach for pen and paper. He also writes songs, stories, jokes and movie reviews.

We’re excited to see how God will use him here at His Way.

After interning with us for a few months, Noah McDonald is joining us at His Way as a staff counselor. Noah first heard about His Way while volunteering with the 2820 community ministry in Huntsville, but his passion for restorative ministry goes back further to his time at Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee.

“My eyes were really opened to the church’s role in seeking and saving the lost,” he said. “Ministry is what we do with everyone, every day of the week.” Now, following his continued education at Liberty University, Noah is getting right to work meeting with our His Way residents regularly and working towards their futures.

Noah’s goal of helping people in service of Christ is shared by his wife Alana, a special education teacher in Huntsville. In addition to being an excellent counselor, Noah is a natural outdoorsman and loves camping, hiking, and fishing. When faced with arguably the most significant interview question ever asked (what’s your ideal sandwich?), he described a beautiful fried chicken BLT on a pretzel bun, complete with apple butter – a bold twist on a reliable classic.

We’re thrilled to welcome Noah to the team and to see firsthand the works that Christ will do through him.
