The first step toward addressing your mental health is always the hardest one. Whether you have a long history of struggles, or you're having a sudden change and don't know how to handle it, no challenge is too small or too large to seek treatment! I have 2 years of clinical mental health experience along with a lifetime of being a good listener, friend, supporter, and empath. Some of my primary foundations in counseling are self-care, focusing on the individual and their future, and utilizing coping skills. Take this step for yourself and “Take the Reins” on your own happiness!

There’s something so peaceful about a spring rain 🌿🌦️

Coming through winter can be tough, and often the last thing we might want to see is more rain.

Winter may be cold, dark, and damp, but what does winter really offer us? For some, maybe rest, quietness, coziness. A time for reflection, to slow down, to prepare for a new chapter. It is not always a comfortable time, especially to those who prefer the warmer months; however, the benefits of winter often go overlooked.

Looking at spring, we find new life, warmth, a symphony of nature, excitement, grounding, plans for activities and adventures! This rain is bringing not just mud, humidity, or inconvenience, it’s offering new life! We can’t have flowers without the rain. It may be difficult, but instead of feeling discomfort with the rain, try gratitude and optimism! Hop into a cozy spot and watch the way the plants, birds, and wildlife spring to action when it rains. Notice how the sun shimmers off of the wet leaves when the clouds clear, or the smell of rain soaking the earth for the plants.

Everyone has their preferred season, and, to them, it’s the most beautiful and comfortable time of their year. No matter which that season may be for you, take time to slow down and appreciate the beauty, offerings, and feelings that come with whichever of the seasons we encounter! You may find something new to appreciate today ❤️
