For the past three months, Partnership for a Drug Free Community has been out in the community—boots on the ground—serving our unhoused neighbors, visiting and interviewing treatment programs for potential placement, attending holiday parties, delivering gifts to our community partners, providing education and printed prevention materials, and working directly with youth within the school system and through additional youth programs. Because the truth is, we cannot do this work alone. I stand firmly on the statement: “It takes a village.”

Working in the field of addiction is often sad, overwhelming, and heartbreaking. We witness pain, loss, and struggle every day. But we also witness resilience, hope, and the power of community. This work would not be possible without the dedication, compassion, and collaboration of our community partners.

To our partners—thank you for standing with us, supporting prevention, education, and recovery, and showing up for our youth and community. Your commitment truly makes a difference.

Call to Action:
If you believe in a drug-free, recovery-supportive community, we invite you to stand with us. Partner with us, support our youth education and prevention efforts, volunteer, donate, or help spread the word. Together, we can continue this work—because it truly takes a village.

January is Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month

💙 Recovery Is Possible. Treatment Works.

At Partnership for a Drug Free Community, we recognize Substance Use Disorder as a treatable medical condition—not a moral failing. This month, we’re raising awareness about the importance of evidence-based treatment, reducing stigma, and supporting individuals and families on the path to recovery.

✨ Why This Matters • Substance use disorder impacts individuals, families, and entire communities • Treatment saves lives and supports long-term recovery • Compassion, education, and access to care make recovery achievable

🤝 How You Can Help • Share this post to spread awareness • Encourage treatment and support over stigma • Learn about prevention, recovery, and local resources • Support community efforts that promote healthy, drug-free lives

📞 Need Help or Know Someone Who Does? Contact Partnership for a Drug Free Community at (256) 539-7339.

REFLECTING ON 2025: A year of impact, hope, and community partnership.
As we approach the end of another year, we're filled with gratitude for the incredible community that makes our mission possible.

Here's what we accomplished TOGETHER in 2025:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILIES SERVED:
200+ adults connected to recovery treatment
50+ families were provided support and community resources
400+ ASAM assessments completed for treatment eligibility

🏫 YOUTH PREVENTION:
1,200+ students reached through evidence-based programs

But the numbers only tell part of the story. Behind each statistic is a life changed, a family restored, a community strengthened.

Thank you for being part of these miracles. Your support, your prayers, your partnership – it all matters.

Here's to an even more impactful 2026! 🎊 https://thepdfc.org/
