Nurses serve as the first point of contact for most patients. They are the medical professionals who perform some of the most essential healthcare tasks.

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6 (also known as National Nurses Day) through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This week honors their sacrifices and contributions and reminds us to thank those who keep us healthy.

Here at , we are so very thankful for our incredible nurses, Christine, Nataliya, Susanna, Amber and Rachel! Let's spread the love! Tag your favorite nurse and let them know why you appreciate them!

It's cap and gown season for high school and college, but here at FINA our graduates get these sweet little onesies. It's always bittersweet saying goodbye when our patients leave us to continue their pregnancies with their OB/GYNs, but we always look forward to seeing their precious babies wearing these in a few months.💕

“FINA was such an amazing help to us! I thank God for the precious baby girl he blessed us with, but also for leading us to FINA to hold our hands down this unfamiliar path. Nurse Joan was amazing to me, she held me as I cried and felt so hopeless. Dr. D walked my husband through all the information we both needed and was honest with us about every step. Y'all are doing the Lord's work! Thank you guys for everything!”

Thank you so much for sharing your FINA story! We are so blessed to have been part of your family's journey.❤

RAISING AWARENESS DURING NATIONAL INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK APRIL 19-25, 2026✨

It comes natural for most to dream of a future with children. Because conception is a natural expectation, it becomes quite frustrating and disappointing when plans do not become reality on demand. Many couples will uniquely relay the heartaches of a lonely struggle. For most couples, attempting to conceive a child is a very intimate process that is clothed in privacy. But because of the quiet nature of this process, those who are unable to voluntarily conceive often suffer in private as well. Infertility is spoken of far too seldom in our society.

HOWEVER, INFERTILITY IS NOT UNCOMMON.
IN FACT, IT OCCURS IN 15% OF ALL COUPLES.

And infertility doesn’t discriminate. While it impacts people across gender, race and socio-economic class, access to treatment is even more difficult for those who lack insurance coverage or the economic means to pay for care out-of-pocket.

HOW CAN YOU HELP RAISE AWARENESS?

+ Wear something orange on Wednesday and post on social media to show support and raise awareness.

+ Share your story. Not only can this help you cope with your feelings, but this may also help others who are experiencing the same struggles.

+ Find a support group. Whether online or locally, this will allow you to hear of what other couples are going through or went through and will validate your emotions. It can help you feel less isolated and will empower you with knowledge.

+ Offer your ear (and a hug) to a friend in need. Even if you aren’t on an infertility journey of your own, chances are someone close to you is.

+ Advocate with your employer. While more and more employers are discovering the value of adding infertility benefits to their offerings, many don’t. Plan a time to talk with leaders within your organization about the importance and value of adding these types of benefits.

+ Support the work of an infertility advocacy group you trust. Advocacy groups help raise awareness, organize and advocate all year long. If you find that work valuable, lend your support by donating yourself or hosting a fundraiser.

You may know someone who is living with infertility, and while you may not relate personally you want to be a support for your friend.

Here are some things you can do:

1. Let them know you care. This is the best thing you can do for your friend.

2. Do your research on infertility and treatments so you are informed when your friend needs to talk.

3. Let them know you are available if they want to talk.

4. Ask them what they need. You can also ask them what the most helpful things to say are.

5. Support their decisions to have treatments or to stop.

6. Watch their older kids while they go to an appointment.

7. If you know they are trying to lose weight, you could offer to join them as an exercise buddy because it can help you reach your personal fitness goals as well.

8. Be a good listener. If you haven't gone through infertility personally, you might not know what the right things to say are, but you can always listen.💕

If you personally are a fertility warrior and have some tips to share, we would love to hear from you! What are the most helpful things your friends and family can do for you?

"What I appreciated the most from Dr. Davenport was his honesty from our first consultation through graduation day. He was compassionate about our situation and responsibly managed our expectations financially and statistically for success. We kept hope, and with each exam and visit, things continued to trend positively and three months from our first consultation about IVF we transferred our first embryo!

This week we are entering our 2nd trimester and are eternally grateful for Dr. D and his incredible staff who treat you as a family from the moment you commit to your journey. Whether it’s age, male infertility (both factors in our situation) or otherwise, this is the ONLY place I would place my trust in growing my family."

Thank you for sharing your FINA story! We are so thankful and are thrilled for your growing family!❤
