Every nurse in our Antepartum Unit provides expert care to high-risk pregnancy moms. For some, RN Sarah Grace Robertson provides something more: reassurance, calm and comfort when they need it most. 💗

This note from a patient says it all: “During one of the most overwhelming and painful moments of my pregnancy, Sarah Grace was such a source of comfort and one of my biggest advocates.”

Another note read, “Sarah Grace offered to give me a hug, then came up and rubbed my back for a moment-- which is a comfort I did not know I needed until she did so. As my nurse wheeled me away, I asked her if I could take Sarah Grace to L&D with me.”

After reading stories like these, we knew Sarah Grace’s compassion and advocacy deserved to be recognized with a DAISY Award, our top nursing honor. Please join us in congratulating her!

Thanks to the generous toy donations of our local community, our Child Life team's annual gift bag stocking was a huge success. 🧸 Our staff came together to create custom gift bags for patients of all ages, and they were distributed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Thank you to all who participated, and thank you to our Child Life team, who make it their mission to bring joy to our patients. ❤️

One special family has made it their mission to brighten the holidays for our pediatric patients. ❤️

Each year, former patient Sarabeth and her family donate dozens of toys to our pediatric units as part of their Heart2Heart toy drive. They know firsthand how tough it is to spend the holidays in the hospital.

As Sarabeth graduates from high school and prepares to attend Brigham Young University, she hopes to major in Child Life, allowing her to continue supporting pediatric patients who need joy the most.

Thank you, Sarabeth, for thinking of our patients and their families year after year. We are cheering you on as you move forward into the future! 🌟

Born unexpectedly at just 34 weeks, Harrison spent his first days growing in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

During that time, his parents, Matt and Caroline, found comfort in a familiar face. Harrison's grandmother, “Ma Bell” Lynn, is a longtime Huntsville Hospital volunteer and NICU cuddler.

Cuddlers provide comfort, human touch, and a calming presence for babies when parents can’t be at the bedside, offering critical interaction that supports growth and development. For the Bell family, that role meant even more.

Just in time for Christmas, Harrison is heading home, where big brother Hayden is already planning gingerbread cookies and new memories. ❤️
