I’ve completed my training through the Center for Barefoot Massage! 👣
Over the last several months, I’ve been gradually incorporating barefoot (Ashiatsu) work into my practice, and I’m now offering it as a regular part of sessions.
Barefoot massage uses the feet to deliver broad, consistent pressure—allowing for deeper work that often feels more comfortable and effective than point-focused pressure from thumbs or elbows.
This is intentional, highly precise work—not just “walking on people."😉
The Center for Barefoot Massage describes this approach as working deliberately with gradual changes in angle and pressure to access underlying muscle and fascial layers. This deep, slow pressure applied strategically along muscle insertions and fascial pathways can do something incredible—it can melt the biological, stuck-together, Saran wrap-like adhesions that keep you in pain.
There’s no upcharge for barefoot work—it’s simply an option we can include if it supports your goals for the session.
