🌊 Dr. Wesson here, making a splash with more summer tips! 🏖️
Whether you’re hitting the water park, chilling by the pool, enjoying the beach, or boating on the lake, here’s how to keep your spine — and the rest of you — happy and healthy all summer long:
✅ Stretch before you swim — it warms up your muscles and helps prevent strains.
✅ Stay hydrated — fun in the sun can sneak up on you, so sip water regularly!
✅ Watch your posture — lounging on beach chairs and pool floats is great, but mix it up with standing or walking to avoid stiff joints.
✅ Lift safely — those coolers and beach bags can get heavy! Bend at the knees, keep your back straight, and lift with your legs.
✅ Wear supportive footwear — pool decks and sandy beaches can be uneven and slippery, so protect your feet (and your balance).
✅ Apply sunscreen — your skin needs love, too!
✅ Play smart — volleyball, paddle boarding, or tossing the frisbee? Warm up, use good form, and listen to your body to avoid injuries.
✅ Have FUN — laughter is great medicine for your mind and body!
