Rocket City Marathon 5K✨RCR showed up, and showed out! For some, this was their very first race. For others, their first 5K. And for many, PRs across the board, even placing in age categories. We are proud of the courage, the milestones, and the feel good wins that made this morning so special💛

Rocket City Marathon 10K energy🔥 This team put in the work day after day and week after week, pushing through mental blocks, showing up even when it was hard, and always encouraging one another. Today all of that work paid off. Every RCR member finished, every runner earned their medal, and we could not be more proud. Cheers to the milestones, the PRs, the distance covered, and the belief built along the way💫

On the eve of Rocket City Marathon, let’s RUN it back to last year (pun intended🤭), when our crew showed up strong in the 5k, 10k, and half marathon.

RCM 2025 kicks off tomorrow at 7am for the 10k and 9am for the 5k. Then we close out the weekend Sunday at 7am for the marathon and 9am for the half! We’re already proud of the 55 Rocket City Runners participating in all races this weekend🎉

Don’t forget packet pickup and the expo start today at 2pm at the VBC South Hall. Check your email for all the race weekend details.

RCR shakeout run complete✅ our last group run before Rocket City Marathon weekend. A chilly Wednesday night with cold winds, but we still showed up and got it done. 🥶

This weekend is about to be fun, full of community, good vibes, and that fuel your fire kind of motivation. We’ve trained, we’ve prepared, and now we get to celebrate the work.

Let’s go RCR🎉 race weekend, we’re ready for you🚀🏁

MEDAL MONDAY: KRAMPUS RUN EDITION

If you ran this weekend — especially in horns, bells, or full holiday chaos — this one’s for you. The Krampus Run delivered miles, mischief, and just the right amount of unhinged joy. And what they heck? An age group award!?!

Drop your medals and sweaty selfies in the comments. Road, trail, treadmill, jingle jog — it all counts. Let’s see ‘em!

RCR x Nike x Hibbett collab run - Round 2, complete!

We had an amazing 5K run/walk to kick off the day, and the energy was unmatched. Major thank you to Nike and Hibbett for teaming up with us again, bringing exclusive merch, incredible camaraderie, and all the good vibes.

And of course, thank you to our RCR members, the Huntsville community, and everyone who showed up and showed out this morning. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we can’t wait to do it again.

Our Nike and Hibbett event is tomorrow morning and we can’ wait! The meeting point is shown in the photo below. Please be advised that warm ups will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

The route is 3.1 miles (you may walk, run, or jog) and the course is flat🎉 so strollers and similar items are welcome. Route-by-route directions will be provided to every participant. Let’s make sure we follow all traffic laws when crossing the street🚦🛑🚏🚥
