At a very young age, Norman Sugg began to draw to push away childhood boredom. As he grew older, it became more than a pastime, it became a career. One day, Sugg came to Jennifer’s office, Creekside's Marketing Director, with a request, “Can I draw you?” he asked. Jennifer was stunned but answered with curiosity, “Sure! Even with the long list of perks that come with adding exercise to your daily routine some fail to keep it up. Three out of 10 older adults live alone and many of them spend the bulk of their waking hours alone. Loneliness and social isolation are huge issues. One older adult approached an MRC Community when he found himself incredibly lonely and isolated. After moving into his new home, he commented, “My life was transformed by the Covenant Fund. I went from just barely living, almost just waiting to die, to having a community that I am a part of. Instead of just living until I die, I am now looking forward to life again.”
