Duties and Responsibilities
* review/update/verify all patient required data is present and available prior to and during each visit.
* Help provider with information collection.
* Order tests, imaging studies, labs and medications.
* Manages prescription / refill extension requests.
* Demonstrates ability to effectively navigate within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
* Documents patient information and services performed in the EMR
* Help physician with procedure-related tasks
* Prior authorization request for medications
* Adheres to practice standards and policy and procedures
Education/Training
* high school diploma or equivalent
* medical assistant certification or at least two years of experience as a medical assistant.
* Must maintain continuing education requirements.
Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to adjust the work schedule. Critical attributes include:
