My sweet girl,
When you are old enough to wonder why I chose this work, I want you to have this answer.
I do not offer aesthetic treatments because I think people are not beautiful as they are. I believe the opposite. You are beautiful. I am. Every person who walks through my door is. We were each created with intention and purpose.
I never want you, or anyone, to feel you must change to deserve love, respect, or belonging.
For me, aesthetics is not about becoming someone else. It's about honoring who you already are.
Sometimes it's healing after seasons when you felt unseen.
Sometimes it's restoring what time or illness or life have taken.
Sometimes it's simply the joy of feeling good in your own skin.
I do not see this work as altering what God created. I see it as caring for it. We style our hair, we choose clothes that feel like us, we care for our skin.
Treatments can be another way to nurture yourself, rooted in love, not shame.
You never owe a treatment to be enough. Your worth is more powerful than that. ALWAYS remember that.
This is why I talk about refinement. Not reinvention.
Simply showing you what beauty is already there. That is what I want for my clients and for you.
If you ever wonder why I do what I do, remember this: I want people to see what I already see in them. I want you to see what I see in you.
I love you most, always and forever
Mom
