The City of Huron has scheduled a city-wide mosquito control application for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, between the hours of 8:00pm and 1:00am. A city-wide mosquito control application consists of three mosquito control trucks. One truck covers the west side of Dakota Avenue, one truck covers the east side of Dakota Avenue, and one truck covers all the alleys. To ensure spray effectiveness during spraying operations, the wind must be less than 15 miles per hour and have no inclement weather present. If the wind is above 15 miles per hour or inclement weather is present, our spray application efforts will be terminated for the evening.
