A Virtual Workshop for Adults and Adolescents
Red Zone to Green Zone | Feb. 7th
Big emotions are part of being human. What makes the difference is understanding what is happening in the brain and body and knowing how to respond in healthy, effective ways.
This virtual workshop is co-hosted by Beth McKee, LPC and founder of Life Seasons Support and Counseling Services, and Andy McKee, high school science teacher and founder of the Zoology Zone Science Center.
Together, Beth and Andy bring a powerful blend of mental health expertise and real-world classroom science to help both adults and adolescents understand emotional regulation in a way that is practical, relatable, and easy to apply.
When stress, frustration, or overwhelm rise, the brain shifts into what we call the Red Zone. In this state, learning, communication, and connection become much harder. This workshop teaches simple tools to help recognize Red Zone moments and return to the Green Zone, where calm, clarity, and connection are possible again.
Andy uses these techniques daily in his high school classroom to support learning, emotional safety, and student success. He brings clear explanations of how the brain works under stress and why these strategies are effective. Beth provides a compassionate mental health perspective, helping participants understand emotional patterns and practical ways to respond with wisdom and intention.
