Generations Physical Therapy is a family owned and operated physical therapy center with WV locations in Barboursville, Milton, Teays Valley, Charleston, and Winfield and a KY location in Grayson. We specialize in manual therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, total joint care, sports medicine, spine, headaches, functional capacity evaluations, work conditioning and other outpatient physical therapy needs. Additionally, we offer aquatic rehabilitation with Hydroworx therapy in three of our locations.

Meet Kevin!

Kevin began his physical therapy journey at Generations Physical Therapy in our Milton clinic, working alongside PTA Julie Woodard. What started as a time filled with uncertainty gradually became a story of trust, progress, and determination. With Julie’s guidance, reassurance, and encouragement, Kevin built confidence with every session and celebrated many small victories along the way.

Today, Kevin is back to doing what he loves — cooking chili — and even earned 2nd place in a local Chili Cookoff! 🔥🌶️

We are proud of the hard work Kevin has put into his recovery and grateful to be part of his journey back to the activities that matter most.

Susan Dunbar came to Generations Physical Therapy for treatment of a right knee meniscus injury, determined to regain her strength and mobility. Through her dedication to therapy, consistency with her exercises, and the support of our clinical team, Susan made excellent progress — and was able to successfully avoid surgery.

💙 Company Sweethearts Spotlight 💙

Some love stories are just meant to be celebrated—and Troy & Nicholl’s is one of them and with February being the month of 💕LOVE💕 we wanted to recognize them!

Troy has been part of the Generations Physical Therapy family for 7+ years, serving as a PTA and helping grow our clinics from Barboursville → Winfield → Nitro. Nicholl has been with Generations for 5+ years, wearing many hats along the way—from PT tech to front office, insurance, and authorizations, starting in Barboursville and now holding it down in Nitro.

Their story started long before Generations—high school sweethearts since 1991, married on October 8, 1994, and proud parents to Chelsea (1996) and Levi (2005). In May 2024, they stepped into an exciting new role as grandparents to Houston 💙

This year marks 35 years together and 32 years of marriage this coming October—proof that teamwork really does make the dream work. When they’re not taking care of patients and keeping clinics running smoothly, you can find them spending time with Houston, riding their side-by-side, or enjoying a cruise together.

We are so lucky to have not one—but two—amazing humans like Troy and Nicholl on our team. 💕
