It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our scheduled guest speaker Pastor Thomas E.Jordan for the 2025 Freedom Fund Luncheon has passed away.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time. The Phenix City–Russell County NAACP joins in mourning the loss of such a remarkable man, and we are grateful for the impact he has made in his lifetime.

Stovall Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. James Edward Key on Friday, September 5th 2025. There will be a viewing this Friday, September 12, 2025 at Stovall Funeral Home from 2pm CST - 6pm CST. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at St. Paul AME Church. The service will begin at 11AM CST and Pastor Christopher Reeves will be the eulogist. We ask that everyone keep the family uplifted in prayer and support at this time. Thank You 🕊
