The deadlift gets blamed way too often. The reality is your back is far from fragile and is built to handle load.

Avoiding lifting doesn’t make it safer.
Learning to hinge, brace, and progressively load it makes it stronger.

We had a really good point made at our staff meeting last night about life and fitting in fitness goals.

The reality is that most days you’re going to be tired, busy, and not feeling 100%. That’s not a bad stretch. That’s life.

And the people who keep making progress aren’t the ones waiting to feel perfect. They’re the ones who show up anyway. When they’re tired, when the schedule is packed, when it would be easier to skip.

That’s where things actually start to change.

That’s what we believe in here. Not perfect conditions. Just showing up and putting in the work when it counts.

Putting the new bars to good use with the 5AM crew this morning! Dead hangs are one of the easiest, most effective things you can add to your routine.

Why:
• Builds real grip strength (not machine strength)
• Opens up shoulders from all the sitting + pressing
• Decompresses the spine after lifting or long days
• Improves shoulder control and overhead positioning
• Carries over to lifts, sport, and everyday movement

Start:
→ 20–30 sec
→ 2–4 sets
