At Hutchinson Health Foundation, community-first partnerships and donor-powered investments are creating the future of health care, right here in our own backyard. We make grants to organizations in Hutchinson, Dassel, Cokato, Buffalo Lake, Hector, Stewart and other nearby towns to help power local health care initiatives. We work closely with our friends at Hutchinson Health to improve patient experiences, fund new equipment and education, and help address unmet needs. And we support programs and scholarships that make healthier tomorrows a reality for everyone. Donors like you are vital to our work – from the biggest campaigns to the smallest moments. 🏠 $6,000 Grant Awarded to United Community Action Partnership (UCAP) for McLeod County Emergency Shelter Program

This funding will provide three months of support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, covering the cost of two motel rooms when no other housing options are available.

In McLeod County alone, 271 households were homeless or at risk in the past year. UCAP prioritizes households with children, young adults (ages 18–24), people with disabilities, and survivors of domestic violence.

Through this program, our community has the chance to provide safe shelter and supportive services; helping community members secure and maintain safe, affordable housing and move toward a brighter, more stable future.

Kristen is pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Business Administration at the University of Mary. We can’t wait to see the amazing impact she will make in healthcare and leadership!

We kicked off our annual One Campaign at Hutchinson Health this week!

Our employees were treated to apples from Carlson's Orchard, hot Caribou coffee, apple cider, and sweet donuts from Cash Wise!

The One Campaign is our annual employee giving initiative, supporting the many grant and scholarship programs at Hutchinson Health. It’s a wonderful opportunity for employees to support a cause that’s close to their hearts and make a meaningful impact in our community. 💜

Earlier this week, we gathered at River House Kitchen + Drinks for our annual Board Retreat. This day provided a vital opportunity to connect, share ideas, and begin shaping goals for 2026.

A highlight of the day was hearing directly from three of our 2025 grant and scholarship recipients, who shared how Foundation support has made a meaningful impact in their lives and work.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated board members for your time, ideas, and commitment, as well as to River House for hosting us so well!

💖 is back! 💖

This October, honor someone whose life has been touched by cancer at Ashley Furniture! For every name collected during the month, Ashley Furniture will donate $20 to the Hutchinson Health Foundation’s Community Cancer Fund, supporting cancer patients right here in McLeod County.

🩺 $1,730 Grant Awarded to ISD 423 Hutchinson Public Schools for CNA Lab Sink

Hutchinson High School received funding for a new portable sink in its MDA-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) labs.

This equipment will give 10th–12th grade students the proper resources to practice essential CNA skills, preparing them to pass the CNA Skills Test and provide safe, competent care to patients once they enter the workforce.

As one of the few CNA courses offered during school hours in the area, this program plays a vital role in the district’s mission of Excellence in Academics, Activities, and Character.

🎉 Congratulations to Abbie Hatlestad, a 2025 recipient of the Hutchinson Health Foundation Graduate Scholarship!

Abbie is currently enrolled in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions at Creighton University, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where her journey takes her.

We are proud to award the Hutchinson Farmers Market a $4,000 grant to support their POP and POPS programs, which provide children ages 3-12 and seniors ages 65+ up to $4 weekly to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. 🥕🍎

These programs empower our community to make healthier food choices, support local farmers, and help cultivate future farmers market supporters. We hope to inspire families to learn about healthy eating and try something new!
