Perinatal Mental Health Matters at Hutchinson Health

Becoming a parent can be overwhelming- whether it’s your first baby or you have several children, bringing a new person into your family comes with many emotions and changes.

1 in 5 women develop a Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) in response to the stress of this adjustment; however, research on perinatal mental health shows that the number one thing mothers need to protect from this stress is SUPPORT.

Emily Blom is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Perinatal Mental Health professional (PMH-C) who is passionate about providing that crucial support to mothers and couples in the adjustment of parenthood. She offers:
