February is Children's Dental Health Month! During this time we help shine light on the importance in caring for children dental health with regular brushing, flossing, cleanings and exams.

Children we care for are often unaware they have cavities, because to them the pain and discomfort is normal. Over 17% of school aged children screened are in need of urgent care.

All nine counties served by PrairieStar face a severe shortage of dental care providers, with population-to-dentist ratios significantly higher than the Kansas state average.With only eight dental operatories, PrairieStar is operating at full capacity and is unable to meet the increasing demand for care.

That’s why we’re building a new 14,900 sq. ft. dental clinic with dental outreach space and a drive-thru pharmacy. This expansion is more than just brick and mortar, it represents our deep commitment to providing quality care for all. And we need your help to do so!

Today is national toothache day, a day no one really wants to celebrate...😖

But did you know that toothaches are one of the leading causes for school absence? Our PSHC Dental Outreach team sees children each week who are struggling with oral health issues.

All nine counties served by PrairieStar face a severe shortage of dental care providers, with population-to-dentist ratios significantly higher than the Kansas state average. In Kiowa and Stafford Counties, there are no practicing dentists.
With only eight dental operatories, PrairieStar is operating at full capacity and is unable to meet the increasing demand for care.

February is Heart Health Month, and this month's focus is on the importance of knowing CPR. It could be a difference that saves someone's life while waiting for first responders.

3 out of 4 of cardiac arrests that happen outside of a hospital happen at home. You can be the first responder for someone you love. Learn the two steps of Hands-Only CPR and be ready.
If a teen or adult collapses, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives.
