We can stop the spread of measles in our communities with the help of a vaccine. Although the measles outbreak continues to spread in West Texas, the cases in Austin area counties have fortunately been contained. Together, we can continue this positive trend by ensuring our friends and family are up to date with their vaccinations. ARC continues to recommend vaccination as protection against measles and has vaccines available for both children and adults. The latest updates can be found on our website in the link below.

ARC is closely monitoring the growing number of cases of measles and is in close contact with local and state health officials and tracking the recommendations of all local health departments and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
