Pavilion Rehab Success Story – Harry

Harry came to the Pavilion after a serious fall that resulted in bilateral subdural hematomas. When he arrived, he needed hands-on assistance with daily activities and mobility, was on an altered diet, and had difficulty expressing his needs. With comprehensive care from our physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams—and a strong determination to improve—Harry made remarkable progress.

Today, we are thrilled to share that Harry is returning home with his wife, walking independently and completing his daily care with minimal guidance.

His wife, Diane, shared:

“The staff here is very positive and always tries to accommodate our needs from the front door in—smiles and positive attitudes. Occupational Therapy, especially Suzie, made such a difference. She motivated Harry every session and worked above and beyond with our family. We’ve had a very positive experience and are so thankful to everyone.”

Stories like Harry’s remind us why compassionate, team-based rehabilitation matters.

Pavilion Testimonial: John

When John first arrived at the Pavilion, he had very limited mobility. With the guidance and encouragement of our Rehab team, he was able to rebuild his strength and self-confidence.

John describes our staff as caring, motivating, and professional, always focused on patient progress. He especially shared how meaningful his connection was with his therapist, Sam, who helped him stand, walk, and stay motivated throughout his recovery.

“Working with Sam was always exciting—she rocks! You are very fortunate to have such a caring professional on your team.”

When asked if he would return to the Pavilion for rehab again, John didn’t hesitate:
“I would not think of another place!”

We’re honored to support patients like John on their recovery journey.

Deborah: A Graceful Motion Success Story 💙

After a fall at home, Deborah came to the Pavilion with one goal—to safely return home. With the support of our Rehab team and the Graceful Motion program, she worked hard to regain her strength, balance, mobility, and voice.

Through LSVT BIG & LOUD, Parkinson’s boxing, and speech therapy—including respiratory exercises with the ACP Omni-Flow—Deborah made incredible progress. By discharge, she was independent with daily activities, moving confidently, and communicating clearly.

Deborah shared:

“Coming to the Pavilion was the best decision I could have made. The encouragement and expertise of my therapists gave me confidence in myself again.”

We’re proud to be part of Deborah’s journey and inspired by her determination every step of the way.

Pamela came to the Pavilion after a hospital stay for a fall with right pelvic fractures, complicated by acute respiratory failure. She entered rehab needing extensive help with daily activities and mobility.

Through our Breathewell Pulmonary program—and support from PT, OT, and respiratory therapy—Pamela built strength and endurance, enjoying Breathewell Be Fit and Chair Yoga along the way. By discharge, she returned home independent with ADLs and walking with a rolling walker—breathing well and feeling strong.

🌟 Patient Testimonial: Elizabeth 🌟

After a serious automobile accident that left her with multiple fractures and extreme pain, Elizabeth came to The Pavilion for rehab with one goal: get back to life the way it was before.

“I wanted to be standing, keeping my balance, walking independently, and doing my ADLs again,” she shared.

Elizabeth credits her recovery to a team that combined skill with heart:

💛 Suzie (OT) — “So caring. She always made me feel I was going to be okay and get better every day. I felt confident with her and looked forward to our sessions.”
🗣️ Eileen (SLP) — “We clicked from day one, and that made things easier for me.”
💪 Tricia — “She knows her stuff and made me feel motivated. She taught me to walk with confidence… she’s so real—the best!”

And if she ever needed rehab again?

“My experience at the Pavilion was always positive… everyone from every department was nice, kind, and positive. I would definitely return.”

👏 We’re proud of you, Elizabeth—and grateful to be part of your journey back to independence.

🚶‍♂️💪 Patient Testimonial: James R. — “Ready to go home today!”

“When I first got here, I couldn’t walk at all. My goal was to regain my confidence walking on my own again—and weakness was my biggest barrier.

Allison (OT) was always on time and greeted me with a smile. She taught me how to dress safely, improve my balance, and stand properly. I loved her calm approach—I always looked forward to our sessions and came ready with a smile.

Sam (PT) pushed the hell out of me—no shortcuts! Stairs, bike, walking… she always reminded me I could do more and more, and now here I am, ready to go home today.

Bill (PT) is crazy and funny (in the best way). I really enjoyed his boxing group.

Honestly, everyone in the building—from top to bottom—was helpful. The stay was pleasant, the atmosphere was beautiful, and all departments worked together.”

⭐ Would he come back if he needed rehab again?
“If I need rehab again, I’m coming back to the Pavilion to be with my friends!”
