Epidemic and stigma of mental illness

There is high rate of re-hospitalization, poor medication adherence, and decrease outpatient follow up among individual with chronic medical and mental illness. This is due to lack of knowledge about their disease and medications, problem with transportation, long wait in doctor’s office, and work schedule. To help curb this epidemic, our provider sees clients at their homes or residential living facility, or at our clinic with flexible hours of appointment. We also provide services to those who live far away through telepsych. Emergency cases are referred to nearest hospital for client that need higher level of care.

Many people with mental illness do not want to talk about it because of the stigma associated with mental illness. Our goal at Amazing Healthcare is to help eliminate the stigma by empowering our community with knowledge that

mental illness is like medical illness such as heart disease, hypertension, asthma, diabetes etc.
