Self Advocacy is people using their own voice on what they like, who they are and how they want to be supported in the way they live.

🎄✨ What a joyful way to celebrate the season!

Our Christmas party was filled with laughter, music , and so many moments worth celebrating. From honoring our incredible staff with length-of-service awards to crowning our door decorating winners, showing off our best dressed looks, and dancing the night away! It was a celebration of community at its best! 💃🕺

We’re so grateful for the dedicated staff that make My Own Place what it is and for the people we support who bring so much joy to every gathering! Add great food, festive fun, and even a visit from Santa (off camera 😉), and it truly felt like the holidays!

🎅🏼🎁 Special thanks to the VFW in Suitland for generously hosting us and providing a wonderful space to celebrate together.

Yes we know it’s a bit overdue, but these photos were too great not to share!

Back in September, we came together for Mandy’s Memorial Fundraiser & Health and Wellness Event, and it was a day filled with connection, movement and plenty of joy!

We danced, we celebrated each other, and we honored both the people we support and the incredible staff who show up with heart every day.

Thanks to everyone who made it such a meaningful and memorable day!
