Attending a service and unsure what to wear? Today’s memorials and celebrations of life can vary, so it’s always a good idea to check if the family has any specific requests. When in doubt, choosing something simple and respectful is always appropriate. Showing up with care and consideration means more than anything you wear. 💙

Feel-Good Friday 💛
Sometimes peace is found in the quiet moments — a walk outdoors, fresh air, or the beauty of nature around us.

As the week comes to a close, we hope you find a moment of calm and renewal. 🌿

Sometimes, the simplest words mean the most.

Saying “This must be incredibly hard for you” lets someone know their grief is seen, acknowledged, and understood.

When we show up with empathy, not answers, we remind others they are not alone.

💙 A little compassion can make a big difference.

About Us

Sweet’s Funeral Home, Inc. was founded in 1950 by George W. Sweet (1915-1991). The family tradition was carried on by his son, G. Richard Sweet (1942-1997), and the funeral home is now in its third generation.

Our funeral home is a family owned and operated business. We are large enough to give our families the same service as the largest funeral homes around, yet we are small enough that each family gets the level of attention and care they deserve.

We serve the families of Hyde Park and the surrounding area.
