The Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition is bringing its annual meeting to my hometown of Idaho Falls this year! Each year, they recognize someone who has gone above and beyond for families in Idaho, and as always I am hopeful to be awarded this honor.

As many of you know, my mission at Nestled 'N' Nursing is to make sure every family has access to the support they need. I was incredibly proud to become the first IBCLC in the state of Idaho to become a Medicaid provider, and I’m committed to continuing that work to ensure our community has the care it deserves.

For the last 18 months I have been working with this amazing lady to help her achieve her dream of becoming an IBCLC. She has learned and grown so much and is ready to move to the next step. I wanted to take this picture today at the final visit that would complete her hours needed to sit for the boards. I'm so proud of her and her progress. Next up, study time! You're gonna do fantastic! 🎉🥳

It's that time of year again where the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition recognizes IBCLCs that have shown "exceptional dedication and leadership in promoting, supporting, and protecting breastfeeding and breaking down the barriers to it in Idaho." To all of my Idaho moms that I have helped, if any of you have experiences or stories or positive comments to share I would greatly appreciate your submission to help highlight the contributions I have made to the breastfeeding community. Very excited to announce a new change in the Idaho Lactation community. After nearly two years of back and forth communication with the Director of Medicaid, I'm proud to announce that IBCLCs are now accepted as Medicaid providers. This is a great improvement and I can't wait to help more moms in need. Nestled 'N' Nursing is now able to accept Medicaid clients! Check out our website.
