Love seeing schools rethink learning environments like this 👏

Flexible seating and intentional classroom design can make a real difference in how kids focus, regulate their bodies, and stay engaged. These are the same things we work on every day in OT and SLP therapy. Attention, sensory regulation, posture, communication, and participation all start with the right environment.

When classrooms adapt to meet students where they are, learning becomes more accessible for everyone. It’s exciting to see these kinds of changes happening and to see community support helping make them possible.

This is what collaboration between education, therapy, and community truly looks like.

🌤️🐿️ Groundhog Day Fun Facts!

Groundhog Day is celebrated every February 2nd and is rooted in folklore about predicting the weather. If Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, legend says there will be six more weeks of winter. If he does not, an early spring may be on the way.

Fun fact: Groundhogs are great diggers and can make tunnels up to 45 feet long. They also hibernate during the winter, which is why they became symbols of seasonal change.

Now the big question…
Do you think Punxsutawney Phil will see his shadow this year? ☀️❄️

🧠✋ What does therapy look like at Achieve Therapy?

It might look like building hand strength for better handwriting.
Practicing balance to move safely and confidently.
Working on attention and problem-solving during everyday tasks.
Or supporting communication through play and structured activities.

Every session is intentional, functional, and centered on real-life skills that support independence at home, school, and in the community.

Therapy does not stop when sessions end 💡

One simple way to support therapy goals at home is to build skills into everyday routines 🏠✨

🧺 Folding laundry works on following directions, hand strength, and sequencing.
🍳 Cooking together supports communication, planning, and problem solving.
🍽️ Setting the table encourages attention, coordination, and independence.

Small moments at home can make a big impact over time 🌱
